An 1851 brick Victorian mansion located in the heart of historic Westfield, New York on two landscaped acres - Candlelight Lodge became a New York Lodge in 1920 and a Western New York Country Inn in 1986 - 7 spacious suites, elegant antique furnishings - ideal for a single night or longer term vacation getaway.

The Captain Storm House was moved to Candlelight Lodge B&B property, an Inn -  four spacious suites, large fully equipped country kitchen, and modern Kohler garden bath and showers -  offering individual accommodations or for a special price, the entire house as a vacation rental - a welcome addition to Candlelight Lodge.

Rates 

Welcome to our two B&B's and our hometown of Westfield. Please remember that we offer some discounts on single and two night reservations. We always have discounts on three night stays and by the week. We offer mostly suites not rooms with a coffee machine, microwave, mini-frig , Direct-TV, exquisite furnishings and many other modern amenities, all with private baths.

• Seasonal rates at the Inns are $85 to $185 per night, double occupancy, plus tax.
• A single person may deduct $10 per night in the off season excluding special rates, holidays and weekends.
• Certain  Holidays and Wine Weekends your reservation may be based on the Summer rate.
• Only one discount or special rate may be applied to your room rate.
• Certain special and weekly rates at our Country Inns do not include breakfast.
• Rates that include breakfast may deduct $10 per night per couple if you do not wish breakfast.
• For the weekly reservation rate, your week begins on a Friday.
• Final payment by personal check or cash please.

Winter / Spring Rate $115 Saturday, $75 Sunday  Sunday's rate takes into consideration the further reduced rate during the week.

In addition to a formal dining room and large parlor(18x16) Candlelight has a large reception room(25' sq.) available in the off season.  We can assist you with flowers, catering, limos, wine and Special Wine Weekend Tickets (discounted) as well as other services that you might need. Please inquire. Arrangements for entertaining in the off season should be made at the time of your reservation.

All four suites - the entire Inn with a fully furnished country kitchen, formal dining room and double parlor for total privacy, a wonderful getaway vacation rental - 8 people maximum

Policies

• Reservations for certain suites at our two Inns may require a two night minimum on major holidays, special summer and Wine Trail Weekends.
• There is a discount for longer term stays or special accommodations.  In using the  Reservations and Availability link with Webervations you may also contact us directly by telephone at 1-716-326-2830.
• Children over 12 are welcome, sorry no pets.
• Smoking is permitted on the patio and outside porches (5) of both of our Landmark  Inns.
•  Check - in is between 2 PM and 6 PM  otherwise please make arrangements in advance. No Check -ins after 8 PM Until 7 PM we will wait, if no telephone call, we will charge the room at 8 PM, without accommodating your reservation. The privacy of our guests is important to us.  We are a Bed and Breakfast, not a hotel and do not offer late night services.
• Reservations, please try to give us at the very least 24 hours advance notice, many weekends are very busy and present additional difficulties for us. We need time to make your experience a pleasurable one.
• Please call when you are 30 minutes from Westfield so we can arrange to check you in, show you the Inn and tell you about the area.
• Early December thru early April we require advance notice, having been booked most weekends throughout the summer, we need a break and considering our age, should probably be closed.
• Included in your room rate is a $12 breakfast certificate, $6 per person, good at any of four local restaurants, personally selected that specialize in breakfast. This certificate is valid at Jack's  in Barcelona Harbor next to the Lighthouse and Pier on Lake Erie (oldest gas Lighthouse on the Great Lakes), one mile from Candlelight. Barcelona Harbor is Westfield's best kept secret and the subject of many painters attempt to depict its New England charm. Across from Jack's is Zebro's Restaurant and Westfield Fisheries for fresh and smoked fish.     This certificate is also valid in Westfield at Sapore's Restaurant and Wine Bar, offering European food flair with the freshest of  local grown ingredients. Also is the Main Diner in Westfield across from Sapore's,  an original classic 1950's diner, decorated with early memorabilia. Both restaurants are within two short blocks of Candlelight Lodge, easy walking. This certificate is valid also at Bo'Nar's in Mayville NY (5 mi.), on Chautauqua Lake and near Chautauqua Institution,
• These restaurants specialize in breakfast and serve from 7 AM to 11 AM.      Choose a different scenic restaurant each day, explore Chautauqua County, its shops and meet our friendly people. Enjoy breakfast, when, where and what you prefer. If not a breakfast fan, you may also use these certificates for lunch.

Deposit

• One night's deposit in advance or 50% of the reservation, whichever is greater - Visa, Discover, or Master Card. We charge your credit card immediately.
• Wine Trail and many Special packages requiring tickets or other special arrangements need full payment in advance.
• Final payment by cash or personal check, please.

Cancellation notice two weeks prior to your arrival

You are responsible for your reserved stay - we have held the room  for you to the exclusion of others and have made whatever arrangements necessary for you prior to your arrival. B&B's normally are booked much longer in advance. Given a much shorter period of time to also rerent and the fact that you may be staying multiple nights makes it more difficult for us to fully rent the room to others. We know of no other B&B that has a cancellation policy more lenient than ours.

• Outside of the two week reservation notice, there is a full refund of the room deposit less a minimum $25 cancellation fee per night, per room reservation.
• Cancellation within two weeks of your arrival, if we are able to rent the room, your full deposit minus the $25 cancellation fee will be refunded to you.
• If unable to rent the room within the two week notice you forfeit your deposit and - 50% of the remaining balance due will be charged against your credit card . You will be issued a gift certificate for this additional amount charged on your credit card towards a future similar stay. If you return at a later date you will only lose 50% of your original reservation.   Unlike most other B&B's we do not hold you completely responsible for your full reservation.  Gift certificates are for one year.
• Wine Trail  and many Special Packages, we ask that you take total responsibility for your full reservation  due to our need to purchase tickets, hold the room to the exclusion of others further in advance and make special arrangements, etc. If able to re-rent all of the reservation will be returned, minus the cancellation fee and any other special charges.
